FAQs

Will you help me apply for SDA funding?

We understand that the application process is lengthy and can at times be confusing. We, Homely Housing can help through this process, ensuring a smooth application process.

I have a carer, will they be able to stay with me?

Yes they will. All of the properties we find for you will have a room dedicated to an onsite overnight assistance (OOA) carer.

Do i get to choose where i live?

Absolutely! We at Homely Housing prioritise presenting properties in your desired areas. As a family run business we understand the importance of being close by to friends and family, making it our mission that you will be comfortable and happy where you live.

How often will my family/friends be able to visit?

As often as you like. Family and friends are always welcome to visit. Bear in mind that being respectful to your housemates needs and their desire for family/friends to visit is important. We encourage open communication amongst the residents so that everyone can have visitors without others missing out.

Will i meet my housemates before i move in?

Yes you will. Homely Housing organises meet and greets with all participants who will be sharing a SDA home. We do this to ensure that everyone’s personalities and living needs will compliment each others.

Can i paint my room my favourite colour?

Yes you can. You can paint your room whatever colour you like to make your space feel as homely as possible. If we find a property that construction has not yet been completed this is something that we encourage the owners to do for you.
